Museum Hosts Valentine
Variety Show Fundraiser
On Friday, February 11, AMRE presents a special Valentines
Variety Show performed in the Museum’s Tesla Theatre and
broadcast live on KMRE LP 102.3 FM. “Love’s Follies”
will feature an evening of dance, comedy, music, and even
burlesque! Proceeds going to benefit the Museum and it’s
many worthy programs. “On Valentine’s Day and Halloween
we tend to be a more playful,” says Amanda Daveau, volunteer.
“We consider ourselves a significant science and history
museum, but these two holidays give everyone a chance to
dress up a bit and enjoy the Golden Age of Radio type of
classic entertainment that never goes out of style.”

Major portions of the evening will be broadcast live on
KMRE LP 102.3 FM the Museum’s own low power radio
station heard throughout Whatcom County over the airwaves
and via the internet all over the planet. Spark your evening at
the American Museum of Radio and Electricity with a red-hot
Valentine’s inspired variety show featuring a medley of local
superstars, including The Dirty Bird Cabaret, Jessica Seele, The
Silhouettes, and much more. Hosted by emcee superstar Della
Moustachella. There’s even a post show dance party.
A lovely variety of delicious food items will be provided by
The Mount Bakery Café and Creperie. Cash beer and wine
bar, 21 and older. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Live show begins
at 8:30 p.m. $10 in advance, $12 at door. Tickets available at
